Winning awards is always good for building value and profile in your business, but the process of entering and judging is just as valuable. There is little to lose and much to gain.
Entries, and supporting material, for all categories will be handed over to the category sponsoring company to judge. Judges sign a non-disclosure agreement so that all the information contained in entry forms and any supporting data remains confidential.
Judging maybe conducted by one key judge or a panel of judges appointed by the category Sponsor.
All judges are independent business experts.
Judging of each category will be conducted according to pre-set criteria.
Each element of an entry is given a weighting
Judges will select a shortlist of 6 entries from their entire pool of entrants based on a scoring attributed to the different elements of the written submission
The judges will then visit the shortlisted entrants to carry out a more in-depth investigation through face to face interviews. Please make yourself available at your company offices to be seen by the judges.
If you enter more than one category it is possible that you will visited more than once. If you are successful in getting through to the shortlist in more than one category, each category judge will want to visit you . Sponsor judges may organise to visit you at the same time or separately which ever suits you and them best.
Following the interviews the judges will select 3 companies as finalists to each category, highlighting their chosen winner. However, if the entry level for any one category goes above 40 entrants, then four finalists will be selected for that particular category.
All KEiBA judges attend a final judging day on 10th May 2013, chaired by Geoff Miles, where the finalists and winners are ratified by the entire KEiBA judging panel
KEiBA judging is rigorous. That’s what makes winning an award so special
The judges’ decisions are final
You will be notified by us if you a finalist or have been unsuccessful in the judging.
We then engrave the awards with the winners’ names and hand them over at our Awards Ceremony on Thursday 27th June 2013
If are lucky enough to win – collect the award and tell the world about it .
