Creative help to give new awards scheme a distinctive look

Kent's creative companies are working hard to support the county’s newest awards scheme, the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA).

The awards, staged and produced by Kent County Council and the KM Group, now have a distinctive logo designed by Maidstone-based full service agency Pillory Barn Creative and a dedicated website designed by new media agency Tangerine, also based in Maidstone, will be online soon.

Miranda Chapman, account director at Pillory Barn Creative, said: "We are particularly pleased to have designed the identity of the Kent Excellence in Business Awards, particularly as a substantial amount of the work we do is with and for Kent businesses."

The KEiBA awards are the only scheme in the county to have the support of key organisations such as Business Link Kent, IoD Kent and the Chartered Institute of Marketing, as well as a number of big-name sponsors.

One is the Kent Film Office, which is sponsoring the creative industries category.

Tanya Oliver, director of strategic development and public access at KCC, said: "The Kent Film Office is proud to be sponsoring the Creative Industries category as part of the 2009 KEiBAs.

"Kent’s creative industry plays an important part in bringing huge economic benefits to the county through employment, direct spend and training opportunities."
